Kelly Clarkson was an American singer/songwriter that became the American sweetheart after she was crowned American Idol in the first season. Not only was the winning that ushered Kelly Clarkson's name to the forefront, it also landed her an agreement with RCA Records 19 Recordings & 'S Records for a number of albums. Since her debut, she released numerous albums. Three of those albums reached number one on the US Billboard 200. The others were close to reaching the top position. It's a major artists that have come out from American Idol. The singer began to play around with themes and music as her success increased. As a tribute to her talent and uniqueness, she has received lots of praise and accolades. In particular, she has been awarded the Grammy Award a record three times. Alongside her career in music, she has been featured in movies as well as television programs. She has also written the book for children River Rose and the Magical Lullaby as well as been a part of several charities.
