Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy is a 16 year old American born in Miami Florida. A half English and half Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. His father is an Argentine who had Scottish and English roots. Her mother's heritage is Spanish and English. The four siblings of Taylor-Joy are from her father's ex-married partners. The family was within Buenos Aires until she was six then relocated to the Victoria area in London. Taylor-Joy says the move to London was traumatizing and she did not study English in order to prevent returning to Argentina. Hill House, a school located in the same area as Northlands was required to take her. Then she attended Queen's Gate School where she studied ballet and acted in school plays. When she was 16 she quit school to pursue a full-time career in acting. Taylor-Joy has always wanted to work as an actor. When she was 16, Sarah Doukas Founder of Storm Management gave her the chance to model.
